Cabot “Tidal Wave” hits United States!
May 22, 2008
For those of you who haven’t been “hit” by the Cabot Tidal Wave, here it is. As its author and creative director, I had a lot invested in this film. One of the reasons I blogged about it from South Africa. Thankfully, it turned out pretty well. Special thanks to director Marc Wilkins and Paranoid films. And of course kudos to our client, Cabot and Valspar. To a man, they are among the best I’ve ever worked with. We are lucky to have them.

Not half bad.
Anyone complain about the goldfish?

Oddly, people were curious about the fish. As an avid aquarist, I can tell you they made it back to the pet store unharmed!

Let me first stroke your ego by saying, “BRAVO!”— one of the most entertaining ads I’ve seen lately (of course you new this already). Secondly, do people really listen to their ipod when they go check their mail?
Copywriters are ALWAYS delighted to hear good reviews, so thank you!
Bit with Ipod was to help justify man NOT hearing tidal wave.
It also set up mood music. In other words, a narrative ploy!
Though you could argue his hike to the mailbox was long enough to use Ipod, you’re probably right to question it…

Somehow i missed the point. Probably lost in translation

Stain protects wood from Tidal Wave is the point.
